I was gonna write a post about all my deep thoughts, but then I remembered that I don’t have any, so I'll talk about Brennan.
Kory’s always been under the impression that if you name your son Batman, he’ll receive instant cool status without having to do anything...and that it would be extra awesome for the boy when his future teachers call attendance... “Josh, Michael, John...Batman.” I’ll admit, it sounds awesome. And since we lack the height genes, it could only help. Thus the idea of naming our first-born son Batman came to be. But as sound as the logic may have been, I thought perhaps we should go a more traditional route and name him Brennan Bruce. Luckily for Kory and his Batman dreams, my maiden name is Bruce. And Bruce Wayne was Batman. See how nicely that works? So no worries, Brenn will still be awesome.
I’m just gonna throw this out there: I hate being pregnant. The end. Oh, and three cheers for epidurals...and McKay-Dee's room service rocks my world. The end for reals.
So check it out - my kids' birthdays are 10/6/7 and 6/7/10. That’s gotta mean something, but my feeble brain can't quite figure out what. Maybe since 7/10/6 has already passed, I'm done having kids??

Brennan weighed in at 6 lbs. 12.6 oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long, although the nurse who gave us the stats either told us wrong or wrote up all the paperwork wrong, because we were both told 19 inches in the delivery room. Oh well. Somehow I doubt Brenn will care. Anyway, we brought him home last week weighing in at a whopping 6 lbs. 4 oz. and I'd guess he weighs somewhere between 6 and 16 lbs. now, give or take a few ounces.
So we didn’t really do anything to prepare Maggie for Brenn’s arrival. We figured she had no choice but to accept it and she’d have to adjust. I'm sure all the avid parenting magazine readers are gasping right now, but that’s just how we roll. And she hasn’t been an issue at all. She pretty much instantly accepted that he wasn’t going anywhere and hasn’t asked me to send him back yet. When he cries, she tries to cheer him up by showing him her trains...

Dimple in the chin = he's Kory's. Phew.

So far he seems to be super cuddly and chill. He sleeps great and eats great and that's basically all he does at the moment. Not sure how long it will last, but I have no complaints for now because he's made the adjustment (that I'd been dreading for years) pretty seamless so far.

You crack me up. Glad your maiden name was able to help you about there. He looks darling. Glad Maggie is adjusting well, cause like you said it's not like she really has a choice. I hope all else is going well and we get to see him soon.
Dang he's a cute little thing, I just want to hold him again. I'm with you on the cheers for epidurals and the room service and the hatred for pregnancy. And I think that's cute that Maggie shows him her trains to cheer him up.
I loved the feeling of being pregnant, in spite of weight, heart problems and then C-sections. I felt like I was doing a great thing! But it is mostly miserably hard, too. He is a very, very cute boy. Hope he makes an appearance at the reunion.
Congrats! He is beautiful. Don't worry, we did nothing to prepare Trey for Cash's arrival either and he adjusted just fine. And I hate being pregnant too and dito to what you said. Hope you are all doing well and I think he has a great name!
Congratulations! I'm glad everything is going well with two kids! Sometimes it is hard, but most of the time it is awesome! :) He is very darling.
Yep! He is still a cutie. We will keep him in the family for sure.
Mom
Yep, he is still a cutie. Glad that all is going well and I miss him already.

Congrats!!! I am happy for you and your family. He is so cute and I love his name!
He's adorable Carlee! I'm glad things are going to great for you guys! You've got two cute kids!
He is so cute and I love your randomness. I am hoping that your sleep deprivation will bring it out even more on Wednesday ;) I think the whole birthday thing is pretty dang cool. I have some cool things with our brithday's, but nothing that points to it being the end of me having children, which is a major bummer. I am such a good mom. lol. I hope everything continues to go well and that Anna doesn't show Maggie what NOT to do to your sibling.
Carlee, he is darling! Congratulations!!!
Carlee, Brennan is adorable and I'm glad to see Maggie is adjusting just fine! Looks like everything is going great. Get some rest. I'd love to see you soon.
Hey there. Congratulations! Brennan is so cute! Looks like everything is going well! Hope to see you soon.
Congrats on your new arrival! Glad he has Cory's dimple chin, our boys came out with red hair and blue eyes (which niether of us have) so when people ask where they got it from Jed likes to say the mailman... Great name and I bet he and Maggie will have fun playing with trains together in no time!
congrats, carlee and kory!
He's the most adorable little elf I've ever seen. Almost like something out of a storybook. My son Grayden wanted to name Sophie Cinderella when she was born. I thought yeah that might be fine for the first 5 or 6 years but then second and third graders can start to get mean. Who knows maybe you'll still end up calling him Batman. Half the time I don't call my kids by their real names anyway.
