Blogging intimidates me now. So much space...more than 140 characters...what to say?
Thought it was about time I posted some pictures of Maggie. I think the last time I posted anything about her was when she was like barely walking and only knew how to say "no." Times have changed...well, she still prefers a good "no" to any other word, but she has added a few others to her repertoire since then.
This was after the city Easter egg hunt that lasted approximately 11 seconds. She mostly just put her loot in all the other kids' baskets, but she did manage to walk away with a few choice items...and she chose well because I quite enjoyed them.
You just can't beat a good pipe band on Memorial Day, you know?
We went to that cool splash pad in South Ogden for a combined family birthday party. The storm timely blew in as soon as everybody arrived, so we were forced to pick up and crash grandma's house. Maggie wasn't too upset we had to bail though, since the confidence she appears to have in this photo was quite fleeting once she got sprayed. (How 'bout that bikini, eh? Neighbor Sarah let her borrow it and I couldn't resist letting her don it for this wholesome family event.)
Her daily fix of Kai Lan.
It's all fine and good 'till the thunder rolls in.
I sent her out in the rain to pick some shrooms for a salad I was making. Luckily I had the foresight to freeze a ton, so whatever party we're invited to next, just go ahead and sign me up for a salad will ya?
Since I refuse to attempt the typical photo centers until she's like 8, this is the best picture I have of her actually standing still. Took it last month and haven't been able to recreate the moment since.
And of course, some footage. So there's a lot of repeated stuff, but I was too lazy to do too much of all that fancy splicing stuff, so it's loads longer than it needs to be. Oh yeah, and it turns out YouTube cut off her head! Not like literally, but... Anyway, the video I took has her entire head, so apparently I'm not a total moron...yet.
Yeah! Glad you posted again. She's just too dang cute, I love that little girl. I haven't heard her say "Chelle" yet either and if you ask me that's a pretty darn easy one to say...haven't you been working with her on that?
Cute post about Maggie! She is such a beautiful girl and that bikini is to die for! I love your comment as long as she has the figure for it she might as well flaunt it. lol. Too cute!
Wow! I was pretty sure that you had entirely stopped blogging! That was super cute though. I haven't seen any of the Hoopes in quite a while. Hope more follows soon. Oh, and I thought you were serious about the mushrooms too. Kind of freaked me out.
Gasp! Can this be true?! Are you returning to the blogging world? Glad you are alive and doing well. I saw the last picture of Maggie on FB and I meant to make a comment on how cute it was and how big she has gotten. And after watching that video are you much less worried about your child being developmentally delayed. LOL. I remember you mentioning that you were worried when we went out to lunch. See it all clicks on day and then they roll with it.
Love that she says "Uh oh sorry." Too cute. I love that picture you got of her....I have yet to get a good one of Logan lately. I am glad you were able to fill a whole blog post. :)
She is so cute. She cracks me up. Kaydee was watching this with me and said, "That is not a bus, it is a choo choo train." Get with it, will you? Welcome back to blogging, even though I have no room to talk. Poast are few and far between lately.
WOW! It has been way too long since I've been here. Maggie is practically a little lady! Such a cutie. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. That is crazy that your Dad served in Scotland too. My dad was there around 1968-70 I think...maybe a little sooner. I could have guessed you have Scottish blood...what with your frugality and all. ;) We just went to the Scottish festival at Thanksgiving Point...so FUN. Maybe we could all go together next year...they have haggis and everything. OK this is getting way too long. Good to see you again at least digitally.
Carlee I love reading your blogs... You make me laugh! Maggie is so stinkin cute. I take pictures and am thinking of getting a buisness doing it going so if you wanna go to the park some day and I can take some pics of her I would love to do it! Let me know.. why have we not been walkin?? :)

Cute pics. Thanks. I like the video too. She is a cutie for sure. However, I didn't hear her say "grandma".
